What Ocala and Summerfield do to a window

Ocala sits on the rolling limestone ridge of Marion County, horse country, and the live oaks here are some of the oldest in Florida. The Historic District east of downtown, the Country Club of Ocala and Bellechase on the southeast side, and Golden Ocala out among the horse farms on the northwest side all sit under hammock oaks draped in Spanish moss. From February into April those oaks drop tassels and a fine yellow pollen that coats every window, lanai slider and screen, and the moss comes down with every storm and packs into the tracks and gutters. On the farm side of town the pastures and limerock roads put a fine white dust in the air on dry spring days that settles on glass for a mile.

On the southwest side, On Top of the World, Stone Creek and Candler Hills were built on open ground around fairways, and so were Stonecrest, Del Webb Spruce Creek and Spruce Creek South down Highway 441 in Summerfield. Out there the problem is the water. Irrigation runs on well water and reclaimed water heavy in iron and minerals, and the sprinklers that hit the same lower panes and lanai glass every morning leave orange rust streaks and white spots that build through the dry season, worst on the golf course lots where the fairway overspray reaches the house. Under the screened enclosures the air stays damp through the summer rains and the slider glass and screens grow a gray-green film by August.

A quarterly plan suits most Ocala and Summerfield homes, with the inside glass and mirrors done once a year, and most customers add a visit right after the spring pollen. Golf course lots at Golden Ocala, Country Club of Ocala, Stonecrest and Del Webb Spruce Creek and homes on well irrigation often go to every two months through the dry season. The estates at Golden Ocala and Country Club of Ocala have a great deal of tall glass, and we clean it with water-fed poles and ladders where needed. Many Summerfield customers are seasonal, so we clean the exterior while they are away. We know the gate procedures at Golden Ocala, Stonecrest, Del Webb Spruce Creek and On Top of the World, work each community on its own day, and send a text before and after each visit.

Ocala and Summerfield window cleaning questions

How much does window cleaning cost in Ocala and Summerfield?

First-clean pricing varies by home size and service package. A first cleaning, inside and out, is $259 for a home up to 2,000 square feet, $329 for 2,000 to 3,500 square feet, and $429 for larger homes on our Silver package. After that, a quarterly maintenance plan runs $60, $77, or $100 a month for those same home sizes. Lakefront and estate homes get a custom quote.

How often should windows be cleaned in Ocala and Summerfield?

Quarterly keeps the oak pollen, moss, well-water spots and lanai mildew under control for most homes in Ocala and Summerfield, with the spring visit timed for right after the March pollen. Golf course lots at Golden Ocala, Country Club of Ocala, Stonecrest and Del Webb Spruce Creek and homes on well irrigation often go to every two months through the dry season. Most people have the inside glass and mirrors done once a year.

Do you work inside Golden Ocala, Stonecrest and Del Webb Spruce Creek?

Yes. We are set up for the gate procedures at Golden Ocala, Country Club of Ocala, Stonecrest, Del Webb Spruce Creek and On Top of the World and work each community on a regular day. Add us to your gate list or give us the procedure when you book, and we send a text the morning of each visit so you know when we are coming.

Can you get the orange well-water streaks off the glass?

In most cases, yes. Marion County well water carries a lot of iron, and sprinkler heads that hit the same lower panes and lanai glass every morning leave orange streaks and white mineral spots that a regular clean will not take off. Point them out on the quote form and we will assess them on the first visit, tell you what a dedicated treatment will remove, and show you which heads to adjust so they stop.
